We all encounter difficult stressors, setbacks and experiences that sometimes cause us pain. We may be challenged by difficult transitions, our relationships, previous trauma, depression or anxiety. We can make the choice to work through these events and grow even when things are hard and confusing. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to explore your struggles, and give you objective feedback and guidance to help you improve your life. Whether you'd like to improve your mood, strengthen relationships or need support coping with a difficult circumstance I can help. I work with young adults who have difficulty managing their emotions and who struggle with depression, anxiety, impulsive behavior, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, interpersonal problems, or problems functioning at work or school. I provide in-person and virtual evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients change ineffective behavioral patterns, develop more helpful ways of thinking, and accept difficult realities in order to build the lives they want. I see therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist to work towards their goals in treatment and in life. Through my validating and nonjudgmental style, I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment to help you reach your most desired goals and build a life worth living.
Approaching ourselves with curiosity and compassion is the best way to grow and heal. A good therapeutic relationship is collaborative and affirming: based on trust, respect, and acceptance. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, experiences, and orientations. My background is in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My work is informed by an attachment lens, parts work, and polyvagal theory. I am an EMDR Certified clinician.
With a warm, down-to-earth, supportive, and engaged style, I offer treatment for a wide range of issues such as: Depression Anxiety OCD Relationship difficulties Life transitions Grief and loss Academic and career concerns Creative blocks As an integrative therapist, my approach is customized to what works best for you. While I draw from a wide variety of treatment approaches, principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic therapy, and psychodynamic therapy will frequently inform the work we do together. We will always prioritize your needs over adherence to any specific treatment approach or theory.

Therapy is about seeking balance and asking questions and looking for answers. Finding a balance between what we feel and what we know and a balance between the quicker emotional side of our mind and the more considered rational side are part of the process. Whether the questions are around school, interpersonal relationships, substance abuse, or career and motivation the answers will come only with this balance. My approach to therapy is about solving problems based on a relational and collaborative approach offering a supportive and sympathetic ear balanced with reality and solutions. With nearly 25 years of experience in the field I bring a diverse background giving me strong clinical skills in the areas of substance abuse, depression, anxiety, career and family issues. Life is a series of experiments, some good some not so good. Therapy is a way to sort out the good from the bad and, giving yourself credit for what you know and can do and putting it to work for a better tomorrow I invite you to give me a call at 617-524-1220 To protect your privacy my phone is a confidential landline which does NOT accept text messages

I have been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1993 and have extensive I experience treating undergraduate and graduate students from Boston area universities for anxiety, depression, relationship, and eating-disorder issues. Therapy can help you find relief from distress and free up the “stuck” places in your life, the ways of relating to yourself and others that can feel self-defeating, limiting or out of your control. This can lead to distress that may come in many forms: anxiety, anger, emptiness, detachment. Yet these experiences are not only a source of suffering, they are also a message that speaks to desires, conflicts, and pain. Together, we work to understand all this and place it in the context of where you come from and the world you live in now. The goal is relief from ways of being that cause distress, and to move toward ways that feel expressive of who you are, how you want to live, and what you want your relationships to be. I work with individuals and relationships and specialize in a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties in relationships, psychosis, and issues related to gender, sexual, or racial identity.
Life pulls us in a lot of different directions, and it can be exhausting. Yet beneath this is a quiet invitation. An invitation to slow down. To reconnect. To breathe deeply and remember who you are. To let your feet find the ground again. And your heart find rest. It's not about fixing everything all at once. It’s about turning gently toward yourself, with curiosity and compassion, and asking: What do I need right now? What is my body telling me? What is my heart longing for? I'd love to help. I'm a licensed therapist specializing in working with young and early adults (18-39). I started my practice because I care deeply about helping people connect with who they are and what they want for their life. Together, we’ll help you nurture a healthy relationship with yourself, make sense of how the past has shaped you, and build a meaningful future. I offer individual therapy to clients across Massachusetts via Telehealth, with in-person sessions coming soon. If you’d like to learn more or schedule a free 30-minute consultation, just click the button—I’d love to connect with you!
