When life feels like too much to hold on your own, there is overwhelm, anxiety, uncertainty, or you could just use some extra support, therapy can be a beautiful choice. Therapy is many things; understanding old, habitual patterns, processing painful or confusing emotions, cultivating resources, reclaiming pleasure, and developing a trusted relationship with another person to process the most vulnerable parts. If talk therapy has already been tried and feels stale, then art and creativity, somatics, nervous system awareness, and nature connection can offer a profound alternative in your therapeutic journey. This is where I come in. I weave together art and creativity, somatics, nature-connection, and mindfulness. As well as reflection, contemplation, and talking to integrate. I work well with themes of identity, times of transition, expansion, self-compassion, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, decision making, burn-out, relationship dynamics, addiction, trauma, and parts work.
Professional focus on adolescence as well as young adults with co-occurring diagnosis through a family systems lens. Supporting clients through their journey in gaining insight and clarity around the narrative they find themselves immersed in, and the potential of their true self. Providing parents context and perspective to recognize the influences of the family that may unintentionally reinforce their kid’s attitudes and behaviors.

Hi! My name is Alicia, and I want to meet you. Yes, you! College can be intense. You're away from home with the pressure to succeed and do well, but there's also dealing with roommates, parties, and being around people who resemble aliens. You know, they just don't get you and you've never encountered anyone quite like them before. On top of this, you may be the first in your family to go to college. You can't admit to them that it's hard. They had all their hopes and dreams riding on you. So where to go? Come to therapy! Yes, therapy. It may be your first time talking to someone, but I promise it helps to tell someone what you're thinking and what you're feeling. College doesn't have to be scary, and you don't have to go through it alone. We can figure it out together. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with many college students, especially those who identify as first-gen and/or veterans. Therapy with me is conversational. In sessions, you can speak freely. I'm not into judging. That would probably make me a lousy therapist. I offer thoughtful reflection and point out patterns in your behavior that may not be the most helpful, and then we problem-solve and strategize solutions to help get you feeling better. I can also teach you skills to help when your emotions feel overwhelming.
Tired of repeating the same patterns in your life? Are you struggling to overcome the impact of depression, anxiety, chronic illness, grief, or trauma? Are you wanting to take back control of your life and find deeper meaning? With over a decade of experience in the field, I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with these issues by offering support and guidance while challenging you to make the changes you want to see. I believe everyone has the strength and resilience to overcome their difficulties and create a life with purpose and fulfillment. Sometimes all you need is a gentle nudge out of your comfort zone. Change is a multifaceted process that extends beyond the therapy room. I am dedicated to helping you integrate insights gained during our sessions into your everyday life. Central to my philosophy is the belief in the healing power of nature. By integrating nature-based interventions into our work, we tap into the power of nature to help you grow and heal. My ultimate goal is to empower you to find a deeper understanding of yourself and make the changes you deserve. We will harness the transformative power of nature and embark on a journey of self-growth, empowerment, and lasting well-being. Take the courageous first step towards self-discovery and healing. Along with individual therapy my practice offers a Young Adult Therapy Group. I co-facilitate the young adult group with Marian Salley. We have been running this group for over 3 years, some of the members have been with us since the beginning. Group members are from all over and the group is ONLINE. Think of the members of this group as a party of adventurers, who get to know each other through time spent together, by sharing the emotionally relevant events from their own lives and the interactions that evolve between them within the group. A group of familiars they can take with them thru the various transitions in their lives. Overtime members witness each other’s ups and downs and become known to each other through the experience of sharing their lives, feelings and responding to how they effect one another in the here and now. This is an excellent group for young adults who are looking for a social space to explore emotional experiences, social anxieties, interpersonal relationships and whatever might come in a group of peers. If you are interested go to my website and look under therapy groups.
At the heart of my work is the belief that progress begins with a strong, trusting relationship. I offer a client-centered approach that honors your unique experiences, values, and strengths. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process—it’s a collaborative journey where we work together to identify your goals, uncover patterns, and explore new perspectives. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply seeking greater clarity, my role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. I see therapy as a team effort—you bring your expertise on your life, and I bring clinical knowledge, insight, and compassion. Together, we create a partnership built on respect, authenticity, and shared commitment to growth. My goal is not to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as we tap into your capacity for resilience and change. If you’re ready to begin this process, I’m here to meet you where you are.
Genuine. Honest. Compassionate. I focus on helping adult clients overcome anxiety, phobias, and depression with cognitive behavioral therapy. Hello, I'm Rachel. Whether you are in acute distress or addressing long-standing problems, I know no one comes to therapy at their best. You will find no judgment here. As your psychologist, I will affirm your strengths—you have more than you realize!—and give you the tools to examine what's helping you, what's not, and how to change it. I am a licensed psychologist, practicing cognitive behavioral therapy to help people struggling with anxiety, phobias, and depression. I tailor evidence-based practices to each of my clients' specific needs. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked with adults in community mental health, youth in correctional facilities, and older adults in long-term care. I earned my PsyD from the University of Denver in 2008. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

I seek to provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space in order to move towards emotional health and stability. I specialize in EMDR trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness based treatments to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and feeling stuck in life.

College is a time of transition and change. This can be a time of struggle and existential anxiety for many people. Everyone has times of uncertainty. I will help you explore who you are and what your predicaments are as you become more yourself. You do not have to do this alone. I have many years experience working with people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics at all levels. Together we can explore your life and relationships to discover ways in which you can live more authentically, in alignment with your values. I trained and worked in England before moving to Boulder in 2010. I have worked with students and academics all over the world and have over 30 years experience as a therapist; I bring all of that with me as I meet each new client. I will help you describe, clarify and unravel your relationship to the world, your self and other people. We do not have to start with your childhood.

I am a seasoned psychotherapist with over 20 years experience. I help people to rapidly get to the core issues which keep them stuck in their lives, be it difficulties in their relationships or chronic depression/anger/anxiety, to name a few. The avoidance of painful thoughts/feelings, either from past or recent events is what creates suffering. When we avoid these painful experiences, we develop symptoms or problems. The treatment approaches I use are evidence-based, meaning they've been researched, tested, and proven to work. My work integrates somatic experiencing, attachment and psychodynamic theory, and CBT. I take Aetna insurance, but not Aetna EAP.
