We use a solution-based treatment approach that focuses on strengths. Our founder, Kathleen G. Nadeau, PhD, is an internationally recognized authority on ADHD and related conditions. Dr. Nadeau created The Chesapeake Center and brought together a multi-disciplinary team of specialists to provide dedicated treatment for ADHD, Learning Differences and related disorders.
Our treatment model combines pragmatic Cognitive / Behavioral Therapy with problem-solving, habit development and the creation of an ADHD-friendly lifestyle. We teach brain healthy daily habits that optimize brain functioning, including: healthy sleep patterns, daily exercise, stress management, exposure to nature, and low-glycemic healthy nutrition.
We understand that medication can be an important component of treatment, and our specialists have been able to achieve results when others could not.
