Renewed Mind Therapy LLC
I believe that hope and healing is an attainable goal for everyone. I work with individuals and families coping with depression, self esteem, anxiety, behavior problems, relationship issues, adoption, grief, domestic violence, and multicultural issues to help them them recover from trauma, refocus on the things that bring true joy, and find healing. I believe that when clients learn to refocus their thoughts and make key behavioral changes, they are able to find peace and renewed wellness. A Christ centered approach is offered and discussions of faith are welcome while not mandatory. Client's views are respected and honored.
I operate primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral model, focusing on the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how to bring about change. This approach is well suited to working with a wide variety of issues including Depressive and Anxiety Disorders. Millie, my therapy dog in training, also accompanies me to the office some days.
I grew up in several countries all over the world which now allows me to offer counseling from an expert point of view on the unique challenges facing "third culture kids" and their families. I am also well versed in Latin American culture and am fluent in Spanish.
