Brandon Rodriguez, LCMHC, LPC, EMDR
College can be amazing—and brutal. I remember when I was in college: papers, jobs, family stuff, breakups… and how stress can wake up old hurts. I’m Brandon Rodriguez, LCMHC (EMDR-certified), and I help students who feel stuck by trauma, panic, bad memories, or constant worry.
How EMDR helps: we identify the moments your brain keeps replaying (accidents, losses, bullying, assaults, chaotic homes, medical scares). With simple bilateral techniques—like brief sets of eye movements—we help your nervous system reprocess those memories so they feel farther away and less intense. You don’t have to give every detail, and you stay in control the whole time. Most students say the memory is still there, but it doesn’t run the show anymore.
Sessions are calm and practical. Each week you leave with do-now tools for sleep, panic, and focus; when you’re ready, we use EMDR to reduce the grip of past experiences. Telehealth statewide, evenings available, new clients within ~7 days. Medicaid and United/Optum and many more insurances accepted; sliding scale offered as well. You set the pace—I’ll guide the process.
You are worth it, and I am listening.
